Sue A. Warth Obituary (1940

Sue A. Warth, 75, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale.Her memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington, with Monsignor Douglas Hennessy officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Sue was born Nov. 15, 1940 in Chicago, a daughter of John and Jennie Bellentino Mangino. She married Robert Warth on Nov. 13, 2004 in Bloomington.Surviving are her husband, of Bloomington; three children, Karen (Kurt) Kraft of Bloomington, Greg (Wendy) Smiley of Bonfield, and Mark (Andrea) Smiley of Bloomington; nine grandchildren, Taylor (George) Gopinath, Kelsey (John) Venerable, Collin Kraft, Elle Kraft, Olivia Kraft, Travis Wright, Cari (Kyle) Geistwhite, Regan Smiley, and Spencer Smiley; five great-grandchildren, Hudson Venerable, Brayson and Brookelynne Wright, and Carter and Finn Geistwhite; an anticipated great-grandchild; a sister, Tina (Joe) Petersen of Herscher; three nephews and a niece, Tony Petersen, Matthew (Erica) Petersen, Laura Jo Petersen, and Michael (Michelle) Mangino.She was preceded in death by an infant son, Terry Smiley; two brothers, Frank Mangino and Angelo Mangino; and her parents.Sues Catholic faith was very important to her, she prayed the rosary daily, and always carried her prayer book with her. She enjoyed any adventure, from her trips to Italy and Florida, international cruises, and just getting in the car and driving. Sue loved to cook, and hosted an annual holiday cookie baking day which was a favorite tradition. She deeply loved every minute she was able to spend with her grandkids, she attended every sporting event, graduation, and special occasion that time allowed. Sues loving personality, kind heart, and witty humor will be greatly missed.Our mother taught us how a life of self-giving and unconditional love is one to aspire to. We take comfort knowing this is just for now, for our faith tells us we will see her again.
