Rozanne Karr 96 of Wapella, IL passed away 3:51 A.M. January 6, 2020 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wapella, IL with Fr. Geoff Horton Celebrant. Burial will follow at Long Point Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Visitation will be 3 - 7 PM Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rosary at 7 PM. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wapella, IL, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or DOVE. Rozanne was born December 17, 1923 in Des Moines, IA the daughter of Edwin Lloyd and Margaret (Roan) Tenny. She married John Mayo Karr April 7, 1942 in Pine Lawn, MO. He passed away February 23, 1998. Rozanne is survived by her children Jo Ann, John "Danny" (Sue), Dwayne (Debbie), Dwight, Durwood "Woody" (Shirley), Alyce, Rita (John) Spencer, Dale (Carla), Dottie (Mike) Anderson, Loretta (Ed) Van Houten, Millie Humes, Peggy Tippett, Dean, Darrell (Brenda), Doyle (Tamara), Elizabeth Cunningham, David, and Amy (Rick) Rueff. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; son Richard "Dick" Karr; and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also forty-six grandchildren include; Frank, Tina Benedetto, Richard, Sheri Spencer, Karen Brock, Ned, Sean Spencer, Woody, Leslie Maunsbach, Phillip Anderson, Kurtis, Rusty, Staci Clark, Lisa, Sarah Saner, Steven Woodrum, Wesley, Kimberly, Susan Moreau, Dennis Anderson, Andrew, Kathy Moran, Bryan Humes, Darrell "Joe", Josh, Adam, Erin Humphries, Joel, Rachelle, Derek, Traci Droke, Mitchell, Tony Girardi, Laura, Jason McCurdy, Jimmy Girardi, Amanda Mock, Dillon Cunningham, Will, Ethan Cunningham, Caleb Cunningham, Anna, and Hannah Cunningham. Preceded in death are grandchildren Brian Anderson, Jennifer Karr and Holly Karr. Sixty-five great grandchildren include; Kyle & Daniel Benedetto; Spencer, Edward & Cordelia Anderson; Isaac Anderson, Cassi, Lucas & Caitlyn Turner; Sammie & Jimmy Spencer; Trevor & Jack Karr; Isabella & Riley Brock; Alexis Franzen; Katie & Spencer Kopling; Zac Lange, Ellery & Etta Humphries; Lillian, Astrid & Isabelle Maunsbach; Lauren Lilienthal; Tylor Fair, Ariana Humes & Justin Droke; Valory & Connor Karr; Makenzie & Noah Karr; Kellen & Reagan Karr; Olivia Woodrum; Kenzie & Dawson Anderson; Nathan, Holly & Lynlee Moran; Camden & Catherine Clark; Joey Karr; Kale, Adelyn, Kizen & Alaya Mock; Teegan & Haley Karr; Coley Karr & Lucas Poppe; Kirklyn & Maitland Girardi; Riley Humes; Bennett Moreau; Aubree, Delaney & Finn Karr; Brayden & Brody Karr; Adriana & Brody Girardi; Laishley Karr and two more expected before March 2020. Preceded in death are great grandchildren Adelynn Karr and Michael Karr. One brother, John Tenny, Pacific City, OR. Preceded in death by siblings, Mary Virys McKindry, Edwin Durwood Tenny, Joseph Tenny, and Margaret "Peggy" Frost. Rozanne was an active member of St. Patrick's church in Wapella for most of her life where she served as the Religious Education Coordinator for more than forty years. She also served on the alter and rosary society and created banners for the church. She was a longtime member and leader of the Home and Community Education Association and served as an election judge in Wilson Township for many years. As the mother of nineteen children she was very active in parent teacher organizations and volunteered in many community groups. She loved butterflies, reading, sewing, and visiting with friends and family.
