Rose A. Robb Obituary (1946

Rose A. Robb, 71, of Bloomington, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at her home, surrounded by family. A party in celebration of Roses life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 310A Greenbriar Drive, Normal, IL. The family would like for you to bring laughter and not tears. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heifer International at www.heifer.orgrnShe was born September 25, 1946 in Decatur, daughter of Floyd and Mary Weiler Edwards. She married Jack E. Robb on June 26, 1970, he preceded her in death on October 13, 2011. She was also preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Mary and Gary Dearing; a brother and his wife, Jimmy and Marie Edwards; two brothers, Hank and John Edwards and one daughter, Michele Herrick. Surviving are her children, Cassie Piehl of Normal, Shannon Robb-Park of Austin, TX, Cheri Williams of Bloomington, Jack Robb Jr of Normal and Charles Robb of Bloomington; 13 grandchildren, Lily Piehl, Mikayla Williams and Austin Robb and 10 additional grandchildren from Jacks previous marriage whom she loved as her own; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Also surviving are two sisters, Joyce Curtis of Effingham and Jeannie Graham of Palmdale, CA. Rose completed her GED in 1985 and furthered her education at San Juan College in Farmington, NM, where she received an associates degree in business administration. She enjoyed working as a school bus driver for District 87 and later as an office manager for her husbands State Farm agency. Rose was also very active as a volunteer at Advocate BroMenn Outpatient Center, in the therapy department. Rose was a founding member of a 30+ year bunco club thats still in existence today. She loved playing cards, crafting, gambling and playing BINGO. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends and they will fondly remember her famous spaghetti sauce and potato salad.
