Pansy Pinkney, 90, of Decatur passed away at 8:30 p.m., Thursday September 13, 2012 in Fairhaven's Christian Home.\r\r\nPrivate services will be held September 19, 2012. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Society or to the Donor's Choice in assisting animal care. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com.\r\r\nMrs. Pinkney was born September 29, 1921 in Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Vurdie (Courtney) Bates. She married Floyd S. Sunderlik. He preceded her in death. She then married James Pinkney. He also preceded her in death.\r\r\nSurviving is her daughter: Carolyn Sunderlik of Decatur.\r\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husbands, son, brother, and sister.\r\r\nThe family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Anthony McCormick and his staff, Fairhaven's Christian Home staff, and Safe Haven Hospice Care for all their care and compassion shown to her.
