Eloise Lockwood Obituary (1932

Eloise Lockwood, 91, of Moweaqua, IL passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023. A service to honor Eloise's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in West Side Cemetery, Moweaqua. Eloise was born on February 26, 1932 in Shelby County, IL, the daughter of Homer and Ruth (Brewer) Moore. She married Richard Lockwood on December 31, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2016. Eloise worked for Mallory Timer Company in Pana, IL until their closure and also owned and operated Wood & Things Antique Store in Moweaqua, IL. Eloise is survived by her children: Ruth (Donald) Wright of Moweaqua, IL and Larry Lockwood of Moweaqua, IL; granddaughter: Lana (Timothy) Sumner of Springfield, IL; three step-grandchildren; great granddaughter: Macy Sumner of Springfield, IL; several step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Sherri Renee Lockwood, brothers: John Robert Moore and Marvin Moore, sisters: Mary Smith, Wanda Gordon, Eileen Phegley and Beverly Morrison.
