David D. Stiles V Obituary (1998 - 2017)

David Downey Stiles V, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:14 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2017 after an auto accident in rural Bloomington.His funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington with Rev. Justin Iverson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington and from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Friday at the church. A celebration is scheduled from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday at the Downs Community Fire Protection District.Memorials may be directed to The David D. Stiles V Scholarship Fund at Tri-Valley High School.David was born May 26, 1998 in Normal, the son of David Downey and Heather Darnall Stiles IV.He is survived by his parents of Bloomington, his sister, Sydney Stiles of Bloomington, grandparents, Greg and Louise Darnall of Bloomington; Dave and Gerri Stiles III of Lexington; aunts and uncles, Sarah (Brad) Jameson of Bloomington, James (Stacie) Darnall of Kingsport, TN, Rebecca Stiles-Bergquist of Normal and Deborah (Edward Bonos) Stiles-Moors of Naples, Italy; cousins, Ben Bergquist, Ainslee Moors, Levi Jameson, Adriana Jameson and Matthew Darnall; his best friend and brother, Matthew Gilmore of Bloomington; his extended family and many other close family friends.David was a 2017 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and played on the 2015 2A championship football team, and was attending Heartland Community College. David worked at his family owned business, Adrians Shoes and Repair / Redwing Shoes Store in Bloomington. He was kind and genuine, had an infectious smile, never knew a stranger and was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Anyone who ever met him became an instant friend for life. David had the kind of personality that was loved by all and as a result was loved by everyone whose life he touched. When you met him, you were never able to forget him.Davids pride and joy was his family, friends and his big black truck. He enjoyed loud trucks with big tires and if it rolled coal even better. Some of his happiest and most memorable moments was when he would go boating, snowmobiling, cleaning his truck with his friends, time with his pets and all the family vacations, especially Mexico.David adored his sister Sydney.
