Cynthia Ann DeCrane Obituary (1962 - 2017)

Cynthia Ann (Clementz) DeCrane, 55, of Bloomington, Illinois went to meet her Savior at 3:26 p.m. on Wednesday the 23rd of August 2017 to join her loved ones in heaven.Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday the 26th of August at Northside Church of Christ, 1908 N Towanda Barnes Road, Bloomington, Illinois 61704 with Rev. Larry Sharp officiating. A luncheon will follow the service Saturday at the church. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, the 25th of August at Carmody Flynn Funeral home in Bloomington. Graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee, Illinois at 2:30 pm.Memorials may be directed Mom and Me Camp, Bloomington-Normal Great Banquet or the Northside Church of Christ.Cindy Clementz was born March 17, 1962 in Kewanee, Illinois, the daughter of Blair and Joann (Erdman) Clementz. Cindy graduated from Annawan High School in 1980. She received a Bachelors degree from Augustana College in 1984. She married Alan DeCrane on July 15, 1983. They moved to Bloomington-Normal, Illinois in 1984 where both Alan and Cindy were employed by State Farm.Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Blair Clementz, her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Emma Erdman, and her paternal grandparents, Arlo and Edna Clementz.Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years and 2 beautiful daughters, Karen of Wichita, Kansas and Stacy of Cary, North Carolina. Cindy will be watching from heaven as her daughter Stacy marries John Turner in September of 2017. Cindy is also survived by her mother, Joann Clementz of Kewanee, Illinois, as well as two brothers and three sisters, Kathy (James) Glennon of East Dubuque, Illinois, Mark (Anne) Clementz of Bloomington, Illinois, Tammy (John) Wehrspann of Dubuque, Iowa, Sam Clementz of Ohio, and Angela Valentine of Dyersville, Iowa. She is also survived by her special furry friend, Ginger.Cindy was an avid outdoors person who loved bird-watching, camping, hiking, waterfalls, and gardening. She was a world traveler and cruiser. She passionately lived her faith with the Northside Church of Christ, whose mission is to Love God, Love Others, Serve the World. She was active with The Great Banquet prison ministry as well as Mom and Me Camp at the Lincoln and Logan Correctional facilities.
