Beverly H. Neubauer Obituary (1926

Beverly H. Neubauer, age 91, Bloomington, Illinois, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Luther Oaks, Bloomington.Beverly was born January 7, 1926 in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Mary (Gumm) and Don Hamilton.She graduated from Paris High School in in 1944 and married Stewart Barr in 1945. They had two daughters: Linda Hamilton (Terry) Garbe and Nancy Hamilton (George) Seidler. Stewart died in 1948.In 1953, she married Harold Neubauer of Clinton, Iowa. He died in 2004. Their son, Kurt, was born in 1954 and died in 2014.Beverly was known for her excellent style and taste. She used cloth napkins and the good silver every night at dinner even when her children were young. She was an excellent seamstress and admired fine tailoring. The school lunches she made for her children often included inspiring quotes she typed on the paper napkins.She considered her family a sacred trust and dedicated her life to caring for them.In 2008 Beverly moved from Humboldt, Iowa to Luther Oaks in Bloomington where she found a community of caring friends. Her Luther Oaks family of friends and caregivers created a wonderful home for her where she was loved and cared for so very well.A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donors choice. She will be buried in Paris, Illinois.
