Yolanda Juarez

Yolanda Juarez, 67, Normal, died at 7:55 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 28, 2012) at her family residence.

A celebration of life will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Monsignor Gerald Ward will officiate. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Siteman Cancer CenterĀ  https://gifts.wustl.edu/GiftForm.aspx?brdsiteman in the honor of Yolanda Juarez. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

Yolanda was born Aug. 2, 1944, at Laredo, Texas, daughter of Manuel and Eustolia Martinez Menchaca. She married Carlos P. Juarez on March 26, 1964, at Chicago. Carlos survives.

Also surviving are son, David (Cheryl) Juarez, Bloomington; daughter, Cynthia Juarez, Berwyn; and grandchildren, Michael and Amber Juarez; and Anthony Cardenas.

Yolanda was a strong-willed woman. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She loved her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being together with her family.

    Dave and Cheryl,
    Not sure if you remember me but I used to work for you years ago. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have fond memories of Yolanda and will always remember her infectious smile! I know how close all of you are and how very difficult this must be, may your memories with her help to ease your sorrow. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
