John L. Fry age 80 of Bloomington IL passed away at 1:49 PM on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Heritage Health, Bloomington, IL. His service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2012) at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Rev. Cliff Close will officiate. Burial will be in Frankeberger Cemetery, Ellsworth, IL. Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2012) at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. The family suggest memorials be made to St. Jude children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
John was born May 22, 1931 in Bloomington, Illinois the son of Henry and Barbara Ellen Riddle Fry. He married Betty Arbuckle she precedes him in death. He later married Hazel Lambert and she preceded him in death. Surviving are 2 Children: James M. Fry, Bloomington, IL; Lori Fry, Bloomington, IL. 3 Sisters: Doris (Roy) Hicks, Bloomington, IL; Shirley Geiselman, Normal, IL; Marceil Ahlers, Bloomington, IL. 6 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parent, two brothers, Ronald and Donald Fry.
