Erma Irene Holderly, 92, of Farmer City, Illinois passed away at 6:45 P.M., Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Farmer City Rehabilitation and Health Care.

 

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, Illinois with Pastor Jeremiah Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Erma I. Holderly memorial fund c/o First Farmers State Bank, 101 S. Main St., Minier, Illinois 61759 to be used for something at the Farmer City Rehabilitation and Health Care.

 

Erma was born September 11, 1924 at Colfax, Illinois, a daughter of Oscar P. & Irene Sweet Morefield. She married Harvey Kenneth Holderly February 12, 1950 in Colfax, Illinois. He passed away July 9, 2011.

 

Survived by her children, Karen (Mark) Harvey of Ellsworth, IL; Alan (Clarice) Holderly of Arrowsmith, IL; Don Holderly of Farmer City, IL; 8 Grandchildren, Kevin (Jennifer) Lambert; Wesley Harvey; Dylan Harvey; Christopher Holderly; Alex Holderly; Matthew Holderly; Christina Holderly; Emily Rauschenberger; 5 Great-grandchildren; Brother, Floyd (Carol) Morefield of Bloomington, IL; Sister, Ellen (Don) Runge of Waynesville, IL; Sister-in-law, Donna Morefield of Bloomington, IL.

 

Preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bob Morefield.

Robert Albert Yeagle, 56, of Farmer City, IL passed away at 7:53 A.M., Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his residence.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Farmer City, IL with Father James P. Henning O.F.M., Conv. officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 20, 2017 with the Rosary at 5:30 P.M., at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

 

Robert was born November 5, 1960 in Bloomington, IL, a son of Ambrose N. and Eleanor M. Thoms Yeagle. Survived by his son, Seth A. Yeagle, Farmer City, IL; daughter, Kayla (Joseph) Kyrouac; five grandchildren; brothers, Mark A. Yeagle, Farmer City, IL and William A. Yeagle, Farmer City, IL; sisters, Ann E. (Greg) Petry, Champaign, IL and Sallie M. (Ted) White, Farmer City, IL. Preceded by his parents; brother, Matthew A. Yeagle; and nephew, Nicholas Yeagle.

 

Robert worked as an electrician and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will also be for Matthew A. Yeagle at the same time as Robert A. Yeagle.

Linda was born July 23, 1940, in Monticello, IL to Floyd and Blanche Headlee Vance.

Surviving are one brother, Dale Vance of Mansfield, IL and one sister, Norma Jean Kinsell of Saybrook, IL.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, Illinois with Dave Sobkoviak officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 

Joan was born October 21, 1939 at Onarga, Illinois, a daughter of Alerich J. & Pearl M. Randolph Beckman. She married George A. Cook Sr. April 12, 1958 in Titusville, Florida. He passed away January 30, 1996. She later married Glenn V. Cothern October 23, 1999 in Gibson City, Illinois.

 

Survived by: Husband, Glenn V. Cothern of Gibson City, IL; Children, George “Butch” Cook Jr. of LeRoy, IL; Lisa (Rusty) Wright of Ten Mile, TN; Kelly Duby of Normal, IL; Pamela Fulk of LeRoy, IL; Katrina (Earl) Nalley of LeRoy, IL; Rhonda (Phillip) Bachman of Heyworth, IL; Stepchildren, Daniel Cothern of Plainfield, IL; Kelly Fermazin of Warrenville, IL; Georgia (Tony) Souspriskis of LeRoy, IL; Dixie Weinheimer of LeRoy, IL; 26 Grandchildren;

27 Great-grandchildren; Sister, Eleanore Taden of Watseka, IL.

Joan received her Associates Degree in Business. Joan co-owned CF & H Construction with her late husband, George Cook Sr.. She had worked at the Apartment Mart in Bloomington, IL and retired from the accounting department at ISU in 2001. She was a member of the Junior Women’s Club, LeRoy, IL and member of the Gibson City Lions Club. Joan loved her family, gardening, playing cards, bowling and traveling.

Robert “Bob” Goodnight Sr., 73, of Mansfield passed away at 3:25 A.M., Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL. Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M., Monday, February 20, 2017 at Mansfield United Methodist Church. Memorial service will be at 2 P.M. also at the church. Inurnment will follow in Blue Ridge Township Cemetery, Mansfield, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Mansfield in charge of the arrangements.

 

Bob was born August 1, 1943 to Herman and Florean Fouch Goodnight. He married Judith Smith November 21, 1978 in Pekin, IL. She passed away in 2010.

 

Surviving are: four sons, Bobby (Sherri) Goodnight Jr., Tolono, IL; Sam (Ashley) Curtis, Farmer City, IL; Jimmy (Jackie) Curtis, Urbana, IL; and Kenny (Debbie) Curtis, Gifford, IL; three daughters, Suzie (Doug) Shedenhelm, Champaign, IL; Theresa Osborne, Missouri; and Angela (Bruce) Wilson, Elliott, IL; numerous brothers and sisters; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

 

Bob worked as a truck driver for over 20 years before opening his own business, B & J Repair in Champaign. He operated his repair shop for 10 years. In his spare time he loved to go fishing and camping. Bob was a loving husband; father; brother; grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.

 Elizabeth “Liz” Litwiller, 80, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 9 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, IL.

 

Services will be Tuesday, February 14 at 10:00 am at Heyworth Christian Church, Heyworth, with Candi Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove Cemetery, Bloomington Township. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 13 at the church.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fibers of Love, in care of Calvary United Methodist Church, Normal, IL or The Heyworth Youth Scholarship, in care of the Heyworth Christian Church.

 

Liz was born September 18, 1936, Bloomington, the daughter of Robert and Lucille (Dwyer) Lockwood. She married Herb Litwiller on November 24, 1961 in Bloomington.

Liz was a member of Heyworth Christian Church. She spent many years actively involved with Young at Heart and also the Flanagan State Bank Roadrunners.

 

Liz considered her faith, family, farming, and friends to be the most important things in her life.  She devoted much of her life to farming alongside her husband, and genuinely loved spending time with her children and granddaughter at every possible opportunity.  

 

One of Liz’s passions was quilting. She began quilting more than 40 years ago, and over the years produced many elaborate works of art. She also volunteered at Fibers of Love and spent many hours with her quilter friends, sharing God’s love through sewing.

 

Liz’s family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Drs. Klauss and Sriratana; and the staffs of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, and Heritage Health of Bloomington for their devoted care for Liz.
